WHICH SIDE ARE YOU ON?

God is a positive God. He doesn’t believe in positive thinking the way the world defines it,

but He does believe that all His children should be living in a positive way, His way.

We can lean on Him from the inside out, and encourage ourselves in the LORD. This is a key to breakthrough, and the process of becoming un-stuck and moving on with God.

David knew this…1 Samuel 30:6 KJV

This verse was written right after David and his men discovered their family had been taken captive and their goods spoiled. They had nothing left in the natural.

“And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters;

but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God."

David knew he had to move from one way of thinking to Another, from the kingdom of loss

to the Kingdom of His God, from the side of despair to the side of Hope.

This is the way Jesus lived His life. His thoughts were from Another,

He moved in the Kingdom of His FATHER, and came to show us what it looked like.

He instilled Hope in people everywhere He went. And He taught it to His disciples.

He demonstrated the only side of breakthrough and provision is to be where He is,

to follow where He is going, and to live in His will and abide there.

It is our decision to be where we are (and if we want to change locations or not) and it is our decision to choose where we are going (or if we want to stay where we are).

Mark 4:35 KJV

“And the same day, when the evening was come,

He said unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side (of everything that is hindering our progress in God and where we are supposed to be).”

After we recognize where He is, then we must break through to the other side

of where the enemy is holding us captive.

Praying and seeking GOD’S direction, declaring what GOD says, and then acting on what GOD shows us in His written and spoken Word,

will bring us to a new location, and to the other side of the problem.

We can now speak into existence with our words, GOD’S Word to us. This is where resisting temptation (to go the wrong way) or repenting (when we have) will manifest in our actions

and produce the results we are believing GOD to accomplish.

The meaning of resist or repent is to do the opposite of what the sin,

negative thoughts, actions and accusations represent.

Resistance is getting in the boat and heading in the right direction. Repentance is the “other side” of the lies of the enemy. When we resist and repent this way,

we are converted and transported to the other side of blessings.

Here are some scriptures that remind us of just that:

This is about Jesus…Exodus 13:21 KJV

"He went before them... (to the other side)"

He led them by example (of what that looked like).

“And when they had found Him on the other side…”

(He went where they were heading...He went before them). John 6:25

“Now when Jesus saw the great multitudes about Him, He gave a commandment

to depart to the other side.”

Matthew 8:18 KJV

“And straightway Jesus constrained his disciples to get into a boat,

and to go before Him (after God has shown us the way He will send us out on the path

He has already prepared before hand) unto the other side, while He sent the multitudes away…” Matthew 14:22 KJV

When Jesus sent the multitudes away,

He went up the mountain (of obstacles) to pray and find His FATHER's will.

He came down and walked on water and went to the other side.

The multitudes here represent people…but multitudes can be the multitude of thoughts that bombard us in our journey. Sometimes we just need to go up the mountain

and then depart to the other side…where GOD is waiting on us.

We are to agree with the LORD and go where the LORD is heading Himself.

And it will always be the FATHER's will.

Jesus is always our example we are to follow,

And He said, "My sheep follow Me."

Sometimes we just need to be the sheep that God has already said we are...and follow Him.

Matthew 14:22 When Jesus told the disciples to go,

and as they obeyed Him, He sent the multitudes away.

God will always send the multitude of accusations, fear, hope deferred,

discouragement, and everything away if we look to Him,

and then listen to what He tells us to do...

let us be going to the other side...of what is in the way of God in our life.
