WORSHIP IS A WAY OF KNOWING GOD

WHEN WE WORSHIP WE ARE KNOWN OF GOD...

and we enter into His presence.

New testament worship is different from Old Testament worship

in that it conveys an added meaning.

The Holy Spirit enables us to worship with more passion and in the way we were

 created to relate to God.

Jesus said there would come a time and that the time was now...

that we would worship the FATHER in spirit and in truth. He also said the FATHER

seeks such as these to worship Him.

Old testament believers did not have the Holy Spirit worshiping from within

their innermost beingor spirit as to bow to God from the inside.

Our innermost being is where living water flows

out of our spirit back to GOD...

the One who gave it.

Before Jesus became the way to the FATHER,

the OT saints could bow, kneel, even pay obeisance and reverence the name of GOD,

but it was an outward expression only rather than an inward surrender.

Jesus was the first one that so adored the FATHER that He made a way for us to worship Him.

He was the first fruit of many to come to GOD and want to adore Him as well.

Jesus made it possible to approach GOD in a manner that allowed access

by His own blood and through the door of His own body.

Jesus compared worship in the Old Testament to bowing

the knee as a bond servant would do to his master.

Prophetically David speaks of a future time in Psalms 2:12

that we would “kiss the Son lest He (GOD the FATHER) be angry in the way...”

This statement was made about the pre-incarnate Jesus

while he was still with the FATHER as the Word of GOD not yet come in the flesh.

One meaning of the word kiss is to worship...

to bow the knee and extend the hand in a way that a servant can be bound to their master forever.

The rope wrapped around the hands caused them to be utterly dependent

on the one they love enough to submit at this level...

signifying that the person that is coming to his master is offering himself,

no longer as a hired servant but a bond servant for life.

To kiss the Son would mean

we would not only bow to GOD but through the rent veil of the Son of GOD,

we would also be bound to Him forever...

The Bible says we were bought and paid for with the precious

blood of Jesus and we are not our own any longer...

we don’t belong to ourselves.

When we are born again we have the opportunity and provision offered us

to be knit to Him forever, as a bond servant out of our love for Him.

NT worship is this; Romans 12:1-2:

“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God,

that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God,

which is your reasonable service (worship).

The word service is Strong’s 2999 which means: i.e. worship or divine service.

Presenting our body as a means for Christ to live through us to the glory of the FATHER

is the greatest form of NT worship we can offer back to GOD.

This is one reason Satan and his kingdom wants to inhabit our thoughts and body as well...

to stop us from living for and worshiping GOD.

Rom 12:2 KJV

“And be not conformed to this world:

but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind,

that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”

WORSHIP IS AN AMAZING WAY TO KNOW GOD!
