How often do we try to put in place new revelation on a cracked foundation.

We take a detour and go a pathway that God never intended.

 We try to  apply what we have learned but somehow never accomplish the results

 we know are obtainable. 

 

We are not experiencing the fruit we know should be evident.

It seems we try so hard but it just doesn’t work.

And we don’t understand why certain things we agree to mentally, things we seem to

 comprehend and understand, is not changing us.

We wonder what would it look like if … we did succeed?

 

Maybe it is because we are not tearing down wrong belief systems 

before we are trying to build on new ones.

 

The old foundation we are building won’t support the truth or dispel the error because we are adding to something that should have been removed first.

To leave a way of thinking, or walk away from something 

that we thought was accurate takes courage.

Changing what has become part of our belief system for a longtime or a lifetime 

also takes humility.

 

This brings our fears to the surface. 

It can be fearful to admit we were wrong and then embrace the truth 

after believing a lie most of our lives.

Most of us would rather hold onto the lie and not risk changing because after all, 

if we were wrong about this... maybe we were wrong about a lot of other things too.

To toss our beliefs to the wind and start again can be a place where fear and accusation

 get the best of us. 

 

The enemy whispers in our ear, well if you messed this up before, 

what makes you think you are right this time…?

The spirits of doubt and unbelief are right there to remind us of our blunders. 

 

But instead of letting fear paralyze you, toss accusation and fear to the wind and begin again.

Trust God to show you how to begin again.   

God wants to bring you to a greater understanding, 

but to do that He has to “subtract” before He can “add”.

I must decrease. He must increase.   John 3:30 KJV  

We have to agree with Him before He can “multiply greatly” those things 

He wants to put in place inside of us that can remain for all eternity.Genesis 47:27 ESV

 

Before we continue to build our lives, we should

look at the foundation of Christ the Bible says we are to build on.

God says we cannot build on any other foundation but Jesus Christ.

If we do we are building in error not in truth.   1 Corinthians 3:11 KJV

 

Jesus is the Cornerstone of everything that stands for what is real and beneficial to us. 

Ephesians 2:19-22 KJV

Let us take a look at what we are trying to build on. 

The Bible tells us we cannot put new wine in old wine skins.    Matthew 9:14-17 KJV

Tearing down to build up; What would this really look like? 

Only God is qualified to answer this question. 

 

What if we removed the stumbling blocks that keep us from moving into the choice parts of life?

It would then be Christ in you, living through you, accomplishing everything 

you have tried to do but couldn’t …and in Christ you will always succeed.

The Bible was written for Christ in you to do through you... 

And until we understand apart from Him doing and living in us, 

we can’t have the fullness of life GOD has planned for us.

 

That I might know Him and be known of Him involves facets of who we are  

Philippians 3:10 and 1 Corinthians 8:3  KJV

 that may have been misplaced and never re-discovered 

unless we recognize their importance. 

They are only found as we discover Christ in us.  

Otherwise they remain buried under all our fears. 

 

The following  areas  are situations all of us have to face and overcome:

•The fear of making a mistake … and the pattern repeating itself.

•Accusation  that says you messed up. The spirit of accusation wants to beat you up for it.

•Double-mindedness produces a lack of trust in God,

 trust in ourselves and the ability to trust other people.

•Fear of continued failure, the fear of losing control, 

 fear of the past becoming the future instead of the future overcoming the past.

•The fear that causes us to hold back instead of pressing forward.   

All of this is  a result of building on wrong foundations and then expecting things 

to be different without confronting the why for the reason we are  not progressing. 

 

The spirit of fear keeps a new beginning from breaking forth…  2 Timothy 1:7 KJV

God wants to enable you to hear His heart … for your heart.

 God will reveal to you what the answer looks like and in His strength will bring it to pass. 

It is when we are desperate for God that he solves our dilemma.

Then we realize that no one could have solved it but God...   

And we have a new understanding of Who God is in that situation

that we would never have experienced 

had we not depended totally on God to resolve the problem.

 

We can only embrace this new revelation unless we are willing to tear down 

what should never have been in the first place.  

But will we have the courage to do it? …

Will we embrace all that God would do through this realization...?

With God we can and the possibilities are limitless... 

Deuteronomy 31:6 KJV

 

I have decided I am going to give God my yes and my amen regarding the promises of GOD, 

in every area of my life...  2 Corinthians 1:20 KJV

 

I want to cooperate with Him and be who I was created by God to become.

That is my prayer for you as well. 

 

Building is a journey that we all embark upon and it is a continuing saga of 

learning to go and let go.

We can build together and help each other build for Him is the  Spirit of Wisdom.

 

May you be the overcomer GOD saw you being from the foundation of the worlds….
