NEW AGE IN THE CHURCH
THROUGH DECEPTION
The New Apostolic Reformation, or NAR,
is a counterfeit, unbiblical movement
that has been gaining worldwide momentum.
How does a Christian recognize the red flags? What if leaders deny being associated or affiliated with the more recognizable founders and celebrity leaders?
There are 6 distinct traits that characterize NAR’s core teachings,
even if leaders or churches deny they have anything to do with the NAR brand.

DISCERNING THE TRUE FROM THE FALSE
IN THE CHURCH
In the Old Testament, true apostles and prophets spoke FOR GOD and they only spoke as the Holy Spirit came UPON them and gave utterance.
The original disciples who were taught by the LORD,
after Jesus’ death and resurrection, became the apostles of the Bible.
From the time Jesus chose the original 12 disciples
and later Paul who replaced Judas and was made an apostle after the cross,
all spoke of the centrality of Christ, the gospel,
the gospel of the Kingdom,
and they spoke only the uncompromising Word of God.
They spoke against what was an abomination to God,
warned and rebuked and spoke about future events
that are to take place before Christ return with fear and trembling.
After Jesus’ death on the cross, there began a new dispensation.
In the new covenant prophets no longer spoke FOR God
(by the Holy Spirit coming UPON them)
but the LORD spoke THROUGH them
(the Holy Spirit speaking from WITHIN them).
Today many voices are speaking for God or about God
and the Bible but without God the Holy Spirit
actually being the One doing the speaking through them.
THE SEASONS OF OUR LIVES...
The Bible has much to say about seasons.
God is always changing our heart, and changing the landscape around us,
redefining what he’s doing in our lives,
and working out the details moment by moment, adding and subtracting,
dividing and multiplying.
God is a God of change yet He Himself changes not...
He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
ABIDE IN CHRIST...
THE SON FLOWER

John 15:4-5
"Abide in Me (you in Christ) and I in you (Christ in you).
As the branch (extension of the vine) cannot bear fruit of itself
(apart from the vine Itself) unless it abides in
(remains apart of and attached to) the vine (to Him),
so neither can you (bear much fruit) unless you abide in Me (in Him).
Obeying God is an issue of the heart.
God says if you love Me you will obey Me and keep my commandments and do My will.
We will lay down our will for another’s only in love.
The fear of the Lord (the reverence and love of Him) is the beginning of wisdom.
What we fear or reverence we bow to or surrender
(to the desire of the One we love instead of what we want ourselves).
And it is for Whom we are willing to give up our own desires that determines Who we really love.
REPENTANCE, FORGIVENESS AND THE FLESH
THERE IS A DIFFERENCE
Repentance is different from asking God to forgive us.
But both are necessary to overcome sin.
Even without temptation from the enemy to sin again,
there will always be the flesh that wants to do things our way verses God’s way.
Overcoming is conditional on our choice .
The outcome we experience,
after the revelation is received depends what we do next.
MAY WE DEVELOP THE
FRUIT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
TO HELP US OBTAIN TEMPERANCE IN ALL
AREAS OF OUR LIFE....
The word temperance
is used in the King James Version of the Bible and it means self-control.
Temperance is one of the fruit of the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit will help us with self-control to overcome sin, and obey God.
As we submit to the LORD in His strength not our own attempts,
we can overcome.
Apart from His ability flowing through us,
we are unable to even do what we would want,
but if we ask, God will help us to surrender and yield to His will.
AN INDESTRUCTABLE LIFE...

THE ONLY LIFE WORTH LIVING...
Jesus said I am
the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
Jesus is the only true Life that is worth pursuing.
If we are born again, He is the resurrection Life in you and me.
There is an indestructible Life
that can flow out of us where we can truly say,
it is I that no longer lives but it is Christ that is living His Life in me.
