In part 1 we discussed why it is so hard for us to forgive…

and now lets look at how others may be feeling about 

what we may not discern due to our own hurts and wounds….

what about asking others to forgive us when we return evil that was done to us…

 

We do the very things we often accuse others of doing. 

Jesus says, "If we will not forgive...we cannot be forgiven.” 

We can actually practice forgiving others with GOD's help so that it actually becomes a way of life.

 How? We forgive by recognizing what is actually prohibiting us from doing so.

.

Forgiving others is not letting them off the hook. What they did is between them and God. 

God is the perfect judge of everything, 

so just remember sin is first and for most between the person and GOD, 

and the fact they have sinned against God , even if it involves us. 

The sin is still directly against God.

 

When we let go of the sin of unforgiveness that we want hold onto, 

it will create torment. What we retain is only going to create disease

 and that take place in our own life because the bitterness

 is a result of not obeying God to forgive.

 

We can only forgive others if we have a good healthy fear of the LORD. 

We should fear GOD more than we fear anything else. 

Actually, a good, healthy, fear of GOD...

will keep us humble, make us think twice 

before we just do something 

and stop us from postponing doing what we know we

 should by saying we will repent later...

which we tend to easily forget and never do.

 

The fear of the LORD IS THE beginning of wisdom. 

(repentance is a gift from God that is inspired by God 

to influence our heart to want to repent for your own benefit.) 

If we abuse the privilege... 

the ability to forgive may no longer be something

 that GOD gives grace to accomplish.

It may lead into a season of the enemy having access

 to us through the door we opened called bitterness.

 

GOD may not hear because we didn't hear Him...

we need to be careful of how we use God's goodness to postpone

 what GOD wants us to deal with now....

 

Forgiveness issues are always something God would have us deal with immediately. 

We should so reverence God that to disregard His commandment to forgive,

 puts a righteous fear in us.

 

Zechariah 7:13 KJV

"Therefore it is come to pass, 

that as He (God ) cried (out to them) they would not hear; 

so they cried, (unto God when they needed Him) and I (God)

 would not hear, saith the LORD of hosts..." 

There is a place of grace that GOD

 will give you to forgive if we will seek and ask Him to enable us to let go and forgive.

 

Why hold onto the sin of unforgiveness and let it produce disease...in YOU, 

not the other person? 

The person that lashed out at you will also have disease if 

they do not let go of what God is working with them to overcome 

but it is not our place to play God in anyone’s else’s life, 

we just need to obey God in our own life.

.

Remember the words of Jesus when He asked Peter to do something 

he didn’t want to do it

 and Peter immediately ask Jesus what about him LORD? 

Peter was talking about was John the disciple Jesus loved 

and Jesus responded, 

don’t you worry about him you do what I said for you to do.

 

We would be wise to heed the advice that Jesus gave Peter. 

We will reap what things we sow so we can sow forgiveness 

so you can reap forgiveness. We all need to be forgiven.

 

When we make a decision to forgive, our focus shifts.

 When we choose to not think about the offense by 

choosing not be offended (not stuffing but letting go) and then choosing

 not remember it no more, 

our decision brings GOD on the scene on our behalf.

 Our choice produces a ripple effect in the spirit realm...

 many good and amazing things are put in motion from the choice we have 

made to agree with GOD.
